Inclusivity & Diversity

Love Makes a Family
Ages: 0-3 years
I love this book for toddlers. It highlights the most important component of what makes a family a family--and that is LOVE. Families come in different shapes and sizes but they share the same love in the activities they do with their little ones. Great book for teaching diversity and inclusivity at a young age!

All Are Welcome
Ages: 3-8 years
A beautiful book celebrating diversity. This story follows a group of children through a day in their school, where everyone is welcomed with open arms. A school where students from all backgrounds learn from and celebrate each other's traditions. A school that shows the world as we will make it to be.

Pink is for Boys
Ages: 3-8 years
Even though I encourage gender neutrality in my home, I still remember the day that my daughter came home from school saying that I couldn’t choose the color blue because it was a boy color. This beautiful picture book rethinks and reframes the stereotypical blue/pink gender binary and empowers kids-and their grown-ups-to express themselves in every color of the rainbow. Featuring a diverse group of relatable characters, Pink Is for Boys invites and encourages girls and boys to enjoy what they love to do, whether it's racing cars and playing baseball, or loving unicorns and dressing up. I love this so much!

The Family Book
Ages: 0-3 years
I love the simplicity of this book for little ones and the fact that it normalizes that families come in all different shapes and sizes--some with one parent, some with two moms, some with two dads. Some families share a home with other families while some families live by themselves. All families are unique and beautiful!
