Evelyn Mendal, LMHC + parenting expert and Fia Aliotta, M.S. CCC-SLP, a certified speech & language pathologist and mindfulness teacher, are hosting a parent workshop all about mindfulness! We've all heard the term mindfulness, and we all want to feel calm and peaceful, but what does it really mean? In this workshop, you will learn key elements of mindfulness, become informed on what the research and brain science says, and learn fun and easy practices to bring mindfulness into your whole family's daily life! The research shows many incredible benefits of practicing mindfulness, demonstrating improvements in your physical, mental, and emotional well-being! The research shows improvements in areas such as: overall sleep quality, immune system functioning, learning capacity, executive functioning, attention skills, social skills, confidence, self-esteem, and self-compassion.
