There is still so much opportunity to have a major impact on your child’s development. Your preschooler’s brain is incredibly elastic and malleable. In plain English, that means they can change their previously learned habits through new experiences and shape a new reality. Your preschooler is rapidly becoming their own little person! Exciting (and sometimes scary) events happen on the daily.

Your preschooler is taking in the intriguing world around them, and they are ready to take charge. They are absorbing their environment like a sponge — imitating your words, actions, problem-solving strategies, even your emotion regulation skills (or lack thereof 🙃 ). During the preschool years, your parenting job involves helping your child fully develop their sense of initiative while encouraging their individual spirit. In the meantime, your child is learning how to communicate with others, how to be responsible for their belongings, how to solve problems, and how to cope with failures and turn those into opportunities.

The way you interact with and respond to your child will determine their ability to try new things, take on challenges, thrive in a learning environment, communicate with you when they’re frustrated, and listen to (and maybe even follow) instructions!

In our parenting sessions and workshops we focus on helping you demystify what’s going on in your child’s developing brain, so you can parent through the eyes of a child but with the mind (and resources) of an adult. We teach you practical strategies for effective communication, confidence-building, limit-setting, and family connection in order to set your child on a path for success as they grow up - which sometimes feels all too fast!
